Marine Quest

Visit the annual Marine Quest event on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, 100 Eighth Avenue S.E., St. Petersburg.

Marine Quest is the annual Open House of the Research Institute, featuring interactive exhibits, lectures and  information booths.

Visitors of all ages can get hands-on practice with the science that supports our understanding of the natural world. Check out live animals in the touch tank, interact with some of Florida's top scientists, create fish prints at the "Gyotaku" station, and more! TBEP staff and volunteers will be giving away Boater's Guides and other educational materials and offering kids a chance to create their own colorful "sea creatures" ruler.

Sponsors include the St. Petersburg Times, the City of St. Petersburg, Panera Bread, and USF St. Petersburg. Parking and admission are free. For more information call 727-896-8626 or visit
