Diamondback Terrapin Educators' Workshop

Diamondback Terrapin Educators' Workshop

Weedon Island Preserve

4-5 December 2010 (Saturday: 9:00 am-4:00 pm, Sunday field trip times to be assigned by order of registration)

Formal and non-formal educators are invited to join us to learn about the natural history and conservation needs of diamondback terrapins. Participants will receive a set of newly developed educational material, training on how to teach about this imperiled coastal species, and have an opportunity to visit the Richard T. Paul Alafia Bank Bird Sanctuary, a diamondback terrapin site.

This workshop is being offered free of charge (lunch provided). Space is limited and advance registration is required.

Organized by the Florida Turtle Conservation Trust

Funding provided by the Tampa Bay Estuary Program
