Master Naturalist Field Trip to the Keys

Dear Master Naturalists,

The St. Lucie County Master Naturalist Chapter is extending an invitation to Florida Master Naturalists interested in snorkeling in the beautiful Florida Keys with our current Coastal module students and Instructors.

The trip will take place out of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park at 8:00am on Saturday, June 5th. The cost is $26 (non-refundable) per person. Sleeping accommodations are not included in this cost. Hotel/camping arrangements must be made and paid for separately by each person. I recommend you do this as soon as possible. The number of nights you stay is up to you, but because our snorkel tour is early Saturday morning, I recommend at least a Friday night stay. The state park has a camping area: 47 full-facility sites for both tent and RV campers are available. Restrooms and hot showers are easily accessible. Call 1-800-326-3521.

Where & When to Meet:

We will meet in the John Pennekamp State Park concession area NO LATER THAN 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 5th. Entrance fee to the park has been waived for our group. Tell the ranger at the entrance that you are with the Florida Master Naturalist Group from Savannas Preserve State Park in St. Lucie County.
