Registration open for wetlands module- Pinellas


Registration Open for Fall Master Naturalist Training in Pinellas
Step into Florida's freshwater wetland ecosystems with the UF/IFAS Florida Master Naturalist Program. The 40 contact hour program is being offered by environmental education company Sensing Nature™, and includes regional canoeing and hiking field trips, plus the experience of leading a fun, interpretative walk. This fall, two class schedules are being offered in Pinellas County-September 24 through November 1 on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays (new!), or October 3 through October 31 during the day on Mondays and Fridays. Registration is $225, which includes course materials, canoe rentals, naturalist patch and pin. Deadline for registration is September 19 and September 25, respectively.
The course includes instruction about marsh, swamp, lake, river and stream systems, their plants and wildlife inhabitants. This interactive experience is for anyone, novice to knowledgeable, who enjoys learning and experiencing nature.
